I can’t believe its July already.  It’s amazing what having a job you love will do for you. I went on vacation from the 15th of June through the 26th. I went back to CA to see my friends, family and puppy. It was really nice to get to relax and be back there, the weather was awesome. I was a bit worried to leave work. We have a new intern and another developer now. I felt like either things would fall apart, and I’d be praised when I got back. Or… less appealing, they’d see how they don’t need me and can work just fine without me. I think it fell in the middle somewhere.

When I got back, my boss gave me a shiny new blackberry! So that was a nice surprise. Also I got put in charge of launching the 34 steering committee websites. I see this a great opportunity for me to earn my keep, and hopefully get a promotion out of it ;).

On a side not, I got a side job working for a friend, doing a website design for his new company. So far its going really well, and I’m planning on getting a new laptop with the money I make. I’m getting a macbook pro I think.
